Hello Reader,

How are you on this fine October day?

It has been a wonderfully fulfilling and challenging month of September and we thank you so much for your love and appreciation.

The month of September challenged us with much rain including the grand finale of the hurricane and then subsequent nor'easter which became hard to manage in the field as the pastures in some parts became water logged. We are immensely grateful for this much drier weather which has made ranching in Maine easier on us and the animals.

So many wonderful things have happened in September! Brownie our lovely and graceful milk cow gave a beautiful heifer calf the children named Butter!

We walk her in from the pasture every day and milk her and then walk her back out to graze with the other animals - our children love the caring of the animals and helping to train Butter to stand next to her mother while she gets milked!

In other parts of our day, we are often found cooking large batches of food in case we are a long way from home and need a nourishing meal! And then we bring a cooler full of food and a camp stove and we can rustle up any awesome nourishing meal as we work the long days of fall and harvest time.

And in the kids spare time they have been designing and creating gorgeous potholders as they prepare for their first craft fair this fall!

What has September and October brought your way? Are you enjoying this wonderful daily sun as much as we are?

We will be coming into Belfast area every Tuesday during the month of October, November and December. And as usual we will be delivering to Bangor each Friday!

(Those in Southern Maine and Massachusetts - stay tuned as we finalize our schedule for delivery your way!)

We send you love and nourishment your way.

With love your farmers,

Sarah Mahan & Nick Jackson

P.S. We will have 20 lb bulk regeneratively pastured ground beef boxes available this fall! Let me know if you are interested and I will send details.

Hello friends and farm family, It is with love in our hearts and tears in our eyes that we have some news that may seem shocking. We have been on a regenerative journey for many years here in Maine. And now we will be moving to where regenerative agriculture is really needed. We are going to miss you!!! Our family is moving and our regenerative journey is taking us out west to a more brittle environment to do what we love the most grazing ruminates. We can't say this enough - so we are going...

It is coming down heavily out there right now. And the lights keep flickering, so while I still had power, I thought it might be a wonderful time to check in, say hi and tell you how much I appreciate you. <3 Peaceful evening grazing on a much drier day. We have had a busy busy couple of months getting all...

As we leave the last week of August and head into the first week of September, I can probably guess things might be getting busier for you. For us, here on the farm, the animals will be heading into the cool fall grazing. This is such a wonderful time of year for the animals and the forage - often providing deep rich nutrient dense...
